TweetBurner and Bit.ly are two of different services out there that allows you track clicks of your shorterened links.

TweetBurner and Bit.ly, among others, allow you track clicks on your shortened links.

Yes, you can track how many times people click on your shortened link.

From the different choices out there I’ve only tried TweetBurner (www.twurl.com), the one I use, and www.bit.ly, another popular choice.

Here’s how to set it up so you can track your shortened clicks usign twurl.com, regardless whether you shorten them at the site or through an application like TweetDeck or Twirl: (more…)

Groups on TweetDeck – what are yours?

'News' is one of my groups

'News' is one of my groups.

A common mistake most of us make when joining Twitter is using twitter.com. Then we discover applications like TweetDeck, go “aaaahhhh,” and start funneling tweets into groups.

I’ve thought of a few ways to organize these groups – numbered (1,2,3,4); US threat-style colours (green, orange, red); descriptive (close friends, news, hot bloggers) -  and wonder what people do out there. (more…)
