Have you noticed an increase on articles praising social media and asking, “do we really need SEO?” Well let me answer that for you, YES. Social media is mighty powerful, true, but it’s not a substitute for SEO, it’s part of it.

The Vancouver Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Meetup Group is changing its name to The Vancouver Search Engine Marketing (SEM) Group.
The reason is that we have many members who would like to hear and discuss a variety of issues beyond SEO – in fact we do that already.

The thought of making money from this blog never fueled it, but has always been there.
