Green Drinks Vancouver always, and I mean always, delivers on good times – it’s like a huge party where the main topic of conversation is the environment.

There’s always a good variety of people. All have an interest with environmental issues, some come because it’s an excuse to drink beer, and some check it out because they think it’s a practice for St. Patrick’s Day.

This week there were three very interesting displays:

Astrid of Fire and Ice Creations – jewelry & mosaics made from recycled glass saved from landfill. www.fireicecreations.etsy.com

Heidi and Lori are from Noon Solar, a company that creates totes and satchels from natural materials with integrated flexible solar panels to charge your cell phone or iPod. www.shopatevolve.com

Eric is of Artevist.com, an online community for activism-inspired artist-created cotton and bamboo t-shirts. www.artevist.com

I really liked having displays, hopefully they’ll more on the next event.
